Educational Symposium 22 of the People's Defence and Military Forces of the University of Mansoura

  Besides the celebrations of 50th anniversary of its Golden Jubilee, under the motto “Ancient History … Promising Future" , and in the framework of the University's concern and the General Command of the Armed Forces to raise awareness among all segments of Egyptian society and strengthen Egyptian capacities in various fields and to establish the principle of citizenship and instill national sense in the new generation so that it can meet cultural and intellectual challenges in modern times.The University organized in cooperation with the People's Defence Forces and the military on Wednesday 18/5/2022 the 22nd Educational Symposium attended by Dr. Ashraf Abdul Basit, president of the University, Major General , Imad Ahmed Zeit, Commander of the People's and Military Defence Forces, Dr. Ayman Mukhtar, Governor of Dakahlia and A. Dr. Ashraf Tariq Hafez, Vice-president of the University for Postgraduate Affairs, A. Dr. Mohamed Attiya Al-Bayomi, Vice-president of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Osama Abdel Fattah Moussi, Secretary-General of the University, Assistant Secretaries and a number of security, military and executive leaders in the governorate, and a number of professors and students of the University and a number of families of martyrs' victims.

   The Major Genera/Imad Ahmed Zaki expressed his pleasure to be present at the Mansoura University with the world's prestigious status and the intensive attendance of students for this symposium.

   He commended the organization of the symposium, which included paragraphs establishing national affiliation. Egypt had proved to the world that it was a powerful State that had defied difficulties by dealing with the problems that threatened its existence, particularly terrorism. He noted the State's continuing national projects towards the construction of the new Egyptian Republic in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030 in addition to Egypt's endeavour to create a secure digital environment in the light of increasing cyber threats and the exploitation of digital means in the demolition of the homelands.

    Prof.Ashraf Abdel Basit presented a speech expressing the role of the armed forces in achieving Egyptian national security and combating intellectual terrorism and extremism and appreciating the role played by the armed forces in protecting the homeland.

   A documentary film entitled "A Dream Homeland" on the achievements of the State in the development of the road and adult network was also screened. Dr. Alaa Fawzi, Executive Director of the Center for International and Urban Media at the Faculty of Media Cairo University presented Lecture entitled "Digital Culture in the Age of Coronavirus and Metaverse".

   Dr. Tahir Nasr, a NRA teacher and visiting lecturer at the Nasser Military Academy, presented a lecture entitled "Cultivating and activating national affiliation and combating intellectual terrorism and extremism as a social dimension of national security".

  The recordings "Dream Homeland", "War of Existence" and "Martyrs" were then shown to the armed forces.

   The Mansoura University Theatre Team presented a theatre presentation entitled "Even Alive", which embodied the heroics of martyrs in the defence of Egypt.

   The events also included the presentation of a number of national songs and religious anthems by the music and choral team at Mansoura University. The children with special needs team performed the song "oh life, I Am Challenging You."

   At the end of the symposium, Major General/ Imad Ahmed Zaki and prof. Ashraf Abdul Basit paid tribute to a number of families of martyrs of the armed forces and some children with special needs.
